iPad Pro FaceID with masks - featured in iPad OS 15.4?

The addition of FaceID while wearing a mask is extremely useful for me. It works reasonably well and really facilitates my everyday commute.
However, I would wish for the same on iPadOS, since especially the pro models should easily be able to deliver the same. Unfortunately, it does not seem to be included. Is there any way to petition Apple and/or any chance they might listen?

Apple has always had a weird congruence between Face ID in the iPad and iPhone line. Another example is why the iPad is so forgiving about orientation while the iPhone refuse to work outside of portrait.
