Ever since the software update to iOS 13, FaceTime keeps switching between cellular and wifi during calls.

Also, status bar (Time, connection, battery information) at the top is no longer showing during facetime call unless I drag down from the top right corner.

I have iPhone X, does anyone else have the same issue?

If it switches seamlessly its kinda nice but assume its not? also, you could disable cellular data for FT in settings if thats what you would like

yes it was happening also to me with ios13 on my iphone 7 when i was home or work connected to wifi. i dont want to disable cellular data for FT because then i wont receive FT calls when i am out from home or work.
i dont know if a reset network settings would help, but i dont want to lose all my wifi paswords.
i downgrade to 12.4.1 and is working as it should.

I have the same issue on my iPhone 11 Pro Max and my wife has the same issue on her iPhone 8. Constantly keeps switching, but the switch is not 100% seamless. There is a very subtle pause in audio/video when it happens and is very annoying. Funny thing was that this issue did not exist on the last 2 public betas of iOS 13 and the GM/final version.

The call would freeze a bit whenever it switches, and I also don’t have unlimited data :(

No one else has this issue? It's really annoying. Still broken in 13.1.2. At home on Wifi, I initiate a FaceTime call, Wifi icon keeps showing and soon as it connects, it goes to LTE and stays there. No effort to get the phone back on Wifi is successful until I hang up.

I’ve never used FT! But, what if you swipe top right and enable Airplane mode? That doesn’t touch WiFi

Is WiFi Assist on? Settings - Cellular
Suppose to switch if it detects weak WiFi

try with that off first.

I need to see if it happens in the latest beta. I have had this issue in all previous iOS releases on my X. Pretty bad bug if you don't have unlimited data or if the cell signal is weak where you are. I reported it to Apple a while ago. I encourage everyone to do the same.
