Hello All, it appears that my FaceTime camera is going on and off on its own. I can't figure out how to stop this, does anyone have any ideas ? I don't believe I have anything on to use it and I haven't used the camera intentionally for about a month. I attached a copy of the Micro Snitch log. Thank your any help.

Hey,

Same here. Disabled all apps with camera access in system preferences > security and privacy but still does it randomly...

Similar to yours, they are always 1 second apart.

What mac are you using?

From the MicroSnitch release notes:

March 1, 2022

Micro Snitch 1.5.1 (1322)

We’ve added a workaround for a bug of macOS Monterey on Apple Silicon Macs, where the system sometimes falsely reports the camera as being active for a short moment (FB9878206).

Maybe they didn't fix it though.

Thank you for the help/reply I am using Monterey, I didn't know about the Notes Release.
I installed OverSight (an open source free version of MicroSnitch) and let them both run and OverSight doesn't log the 1 second Facetime Camera activation like MicroSnitch so I'm going with bug here... Freaked me out though....
