Hi - has anyone seen this? Did some searching and see this as a provisioning issue but it was all related to phone plans, not Tablet plans,.

Here's what happened:
--On a legacy AT&T mobile share plan with 5 devices, 1 tablet. All features worked fine
--got new iPhone 5G. changed all devices to AT&T 'unlimited your way' plan. all phones are on ATT Unlimited Elite. Tablet is on "Unlimited for Tablet" (the only option available)
--i knew i would lose hotspot + streaming would be at crappy SD quality over cellular
--I did NOT know I would lose FaceTime ability over cellular (it works fine on WiFi or if i teacher to phone)

Called ATT, tech tried a few things, still broke, filed a case.

Question:
does anyone here have an iPad on a AT&T shared plan / Unlimited Elite with the iPad on a Unlimited for Tablet that has FaceTime working on cellular network (wifi turned off).

thanks

If the cellular connection is auto changing to 3G during FaceTime calls, then it will not work.

Att cell tower is 500 ft from house. 5g and strong lte. It’s not dropping to 3g

it won’t even start a call. On the iPad it attempts call but the device being called does not ring. And vice versa. Turn on WiFi works fine.

as i stated above this all worked before i clicked the button to change the plan.

The exact thing happened to me. Have you had any luck figuring it out? When I go to cellular and FaceTime I get the message in the photo... but AT&T told me I should have FaceTime so I don’t know what to go from here.

Not yet. I opened a ticket with ATT but it's been crickets. I was going to reach out again next week.
Reality is I don't use FaceTime much on my iPad so it's not a huge deal... but it is annoying.
