Facetime slow/choppy on fast internet

What could be the cause of slow Facetime connections? I get choppy video, pausing, "slow connection, video will resume", etc.

My internet is 50 mbps, the two other locations I'm calling are 25 mbps. This should be more than enough to support a good connectinon.

What can I do to troubleshoot?

The 2 connections internet download speed is not the only factor that could effect FaceTime.
