I’ve been having this issue since my wife got her iPhone 8 Plus (and I got my iPhone X).

When using FaceTime on our home WiFi, we can see the other person, but they cannot see us. It takes us hanging up and calling 3-4 times to get everything to work properly. After the 3rd or 4th call the other person can finally see us and everything works fine.

When using FaceBook Messenger video chat or WhatsApp video chat everything works perfectly (all the time).

We have Frontier Fios (100/100 speeds) and everything else works perfectly in our home setup. When using other people’s WiFi our phones also work properly on FaceTime.

Are there any settings I can look for in my router? I obviously don’t want to mess anything else up, but it gets annoying having to call and hang up multiple times when using FaceTime...so I’m hoping someone has a great troubleshooting tip!
