I'm having a debate with my company's IT representative, and wanted to get some external input on this issue.
Apparently one of our software vendors is claiming that their application will only run properly on iPad 2 devices pre-loaded from the factory with iOS 5, and that an iPad 2 that had been updated to iOS 5 from a previous version would have a fundamental difference that causes the app not to function properly. As much as Apple prioritizes the fact that their app store doesn't have the same fragmentation issues as Android, I find it nigh impossible that this is the case. Has anyone heard of there being any difference between an iPad updated to iOS 5 and one pre-loaded from the factory with it?
