Hello i recently tried to factory restore my mothers old mac book pro and deleted everything i wasn’t supposed to can someone please help me . Please

1) What have you done?
2) Which MacBook Pro?
3) This Mac Pro (desktop) forum may be the wrong place for you
4) If your MacBook Pro is old enough to has build in super drive. Then there should be a recovery disc for you to fix it.
5) If your MacBook Pro is new enough, then "Internet Recovery" is all you need to fix the problem.

need more info to help, if you can answer h9826790 points.

i assume you have deleted (some how) your mum's important personal files?

how did you factory restore the laptop and what file's do you need back?

if you have wiped everything, have no backup dont use the laptop and look at data recovery software.
it's going to be a slow and painful job of finding each file and hoping there not corrupted + you will need a second dive to save the files on to + a 3rd drive to boot from with recovery software or computer via target disc mode.

not had a problem like that since 2004 ish? so im not shore on software, may not be free or even cheep

and relay any use on the laptop will potentially corrupt files (that you want to recover) so best to not touch it until you have recovered your files
