Factory reset my mac?

Hello! So i'm getting rid of my macbook since i got an iMac but i need to factory reset to macbook. I found some methods on google but they were really old and apparently didn't work as they should since you still had to use your iTunes again. What is the best method I can go by?

I just reinstalled my macbook but everything is still there??! It's just like before I reformatted! All my music etc is still on the computer

Did you erase/reformat your partition first, or did you just do the reinstall?

I just re installed. I delegera stuff manuellt now but IT still has 16gb Of usel space in the famous "others". I wouldike the computer to be as when you buy it. You set up the language and everything. Absolutely no external programs and such I. The computer just the ones that came with it. I'm selling/giving it to my mom so I'll set up the iCloud etc for her

Look at that support link again and look at step 5. You will need to reformat your drive and then do the OS X install. Just reinstalling the OS does you no good for what you are wanting to accomplish.

I'm in the disc utility thing but it won't let me delete. You can't chose the format etc. It's unclickable

Sounds like Yosemite converted the drive to a core storage volume and that is preventing you from manipulating the partitions.

command-r boot back to recovery then from the Utilities menu launch Terminal and enter the command below exactly like I have it included the quote marks. That will delete the main volume and make the disk appears normally in Disk Util.

Now start Disk Utility again and go to the erase tab. Then select the drive brand name itself from the top of the left column. Now select Mac OS Extended (Journaled) in the dropdown and apply that format.

Then quit Disk Util and click reinstall OS X. That will prompt for your AppleID then download and resonate Yosemite for you. Once the install completes and the setup wizard starts, just power down the Mac and you are done.

Will try this! It's doing some kind of internet re configuration right now!

Edit: Thought it said that it would take 2 minutes, but seems like 2 hours! I'll have to do this tomorrow then since i'm going to work

It seems to work now. I had basically all the memory left and it's installing Mavericks
