My 11.6 inch Windows 8 tablet Acer Iconia W700(I5 Core) is very slow and laggy and i tried everything to get it back to normal again but still not good.

So i thought the only option is to factory reset my Windows 8 tablet the option "that you refresh your PC without affectin your files" i pressed on it and after couple minutes(perparing) it said "Insert media Some files are missing. Your Windows installation or recovery media will provide these files" i dont really know where to find the Windows installation or recovery media.

So where do i find them files to factory reset my tablet?

And what do i need to do before i factory reset my Windows 8 tablet? because i am a complete newbie when it comes to factory resetting Windows 8 tablets and will be my 1st time doing this and when it comes to factory resetting my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 it is simple and fast.

I don't know the tablet myself but a quick Google search gave me this:

https://www.google.se/webhp?sourcei...-8#q=Acer+Iconia+W700+I5+Core+"factory+reset"

where one of the hits leads to this, a review on Amazon where a user spreads some light on the issue in his review:

http://www.amazon.com/Acer-W700-669...essor/product-reviews/B009H1BI0O?pageNumber=2

I love this tablet it is very fast and boots up in about 5 seconds. I did do a fresh install, went to Walmart and bought a DVD drive for $30, and just followed the instructions that came on the sheet in the box. I do not like the fact that there is no disc image on the device for a factory reset you must use the included DVD's that came with it.
I wish computer companies would put the windows experience index, so here it is right off my tablet.

Maybe you can take it further from there.

Power the system off completely.
Connect an external DVD optical drive.
Enter the BIOS.
From the BIOS, tap Boot.
Locate and move USB CDROM: to the top of the boot priority list.
Insert the Iconia W700 System DVD.
Tap on Exit and then select Exit Saving Changes.
The tablet will boot from the system DVD.
Follow the on-screen instructions.

Shutted the tablet of completely the connected the external CD drive then turned on the tablet and........ it just goes to the windows 8 lock(users) sceen.

And how do i enter the BIOS while my tablet is shut down with the external CD drive connected?

Use the following steps to change the boot order in the BIOS on your Iconia Tab W700:
Power the system down completely.
Press and hold the Windows button and Power button until the Acer logo appears on-screen and then release the buttons.
Tap Boot.

Did you try to download the recovery right from Microsoft for Windows 8? Try to put that on a USB drive, I've had better luck accessing those than external CD drives. Go to BIOS and change boot device to usb and try booting into the recovery, it should automatically take you there. It sounds like your recovery drive on the tablet got corrupted or deleted.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

You will also need to install all the manufacturer drivers. If the manufacturer has an option to download the recovery that would probably be better as it will be preloaded with all the drivers.

He has the recovery discs. There is no recovery partition on that model. ;) he just needs to get into bios, the instructions are actually all on Acer's support site and are first results in Google so I'm not sure of the difficulty.

When it is charging it will be fast again at opening new tabs and loading programs and be not slow and sluggish.

But when it is not charging it is very slow and sluggish again. :/
And i have battery on balance when i put switch it to high performance it does nothing and still be slow and sluggish.

I can't keep charging the battery at 100 percent because it will over charge and it will reduce the battery life and i don't want that to happen!

Clearly it's stepping down CPU off battery. Not sure how you can circumvent this if high performance option in battery is not working.

What should i do?

Is recovery factory resetting is really necessary? or is there any other ways to get rid of this problem and make it fast again?

read through

and this

http://tmacdev.com/2013/acer-w700-throttle-limit-removal/

I don't have one - I use macs. The only PC's I fix are other peoples. Just read what others have done to fix their own W700 throttling issues and copy any fixes that are reportedly working by multiple users.

A shame i can't sign in to http://community.acer.com to ask for help because in the forgotten password page when i enter my email address in to the text form it say "email is not found" hmm strange because when i go search my username in the forum i am still on there with my threads posted.

And the worse thing i can't create a another account on it because it goes to login page. :(

I don't know why they lost my email in there database if they haven't lose my email i would of straight away asked for help and got the problem sorted/fixed in no time!!

Often the forum section logins and the Support section logins are completely independent. Can you try creating new account on support site?

Tried this again and it worked and it has now gone to the Acer Recovery Management.

Hopefully it will get back to normal! :)

I factory resetted my Windows 8 tablet Acer Iconia W700 and it is working fine And is very fast now.

But today when i turned on my Tablet it goes to "choose your keyboard layout" then i pressed on United Kingdom.

Then after you have 3 options the 1st one is "continue" to go to Windows 8
The 2nd option is "troubleshoot" To factory reset or Refresh your PC

And the last one is "turn off your PC"

And i keep the pressing the 1st option to go to Windows 8 but it keeps restarting and going back to the "keyboard layout" page and i don't know why...

I really don't want to factory reset my tablet again as i am editing a very long video for Youtube and i don't really want start all over again on editing my video..

I really don't know what to do can someone help me please?

Eek not good. I honestly don't know what to suggest other than have you tried booting into safe mode ? Again you'll have to google it as I believe process is different for Windows 8 than it was previously.
