I went to Best Buy today and saw this:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/iSimple...Id=9252122&st=factory ipod&contract_desc=null

Where they'll install it to my factory stereo in my Car and I won't ever have to deal with an FM transmitter ever again. Sounds great...

However, cannot help but wonder if it would charge the iPad? This would def. charge the iPhone and iPod but not sure about the iPad...and of course i'm going for one cable that I can connect my iPhone, iPod and/or iPad and have it charge and even play music.

Just curious if anyone on here would know cause the ppl over at best buy had no clue at all.

....Any words of advice, encouragement, appreciated.

That is an FM transmitter, just permanently installed.

I installed an iPod audio kit onto the factory radio in our Honda that gives limited control of the iPod through the CD player controls of the radio. Much, much better sound than any FM transmitter we tried. About $150 if i recall correctly and I installed it myself.

And yes, this interface does charge the iPad and plays audio just like for the iPod.

Yeah, that thing is an FM transmitter. There is likely a product out there that will directly connect your iPhone/iPad to your factor radio without having to utilize an fm transmitter but it probably isn't sold at Best Buy. If you internet search iPhone and then whatever car you have you will find options. I've done the same for the Mazda6 I have - I just haven't ordered the product yet.
