Randomly I find out an email I sent did not actually go out. No record in my sent folder. Recipient did not get. Tempted to make myself a BCC to make sure it went out.

Ideas?

these mails appear as sent in the sent-folder of this account in Apple’s Mail?

In the mail app, did you see an Outbox folder under the sending account? Usually if an email can't be sent for whatever technical reason, it'll just sit there until the issue is resolved.

I have seen the Outbox pop a number 1 then disappear on a good send. Have not actually noticed on a fail as I don’t know until much later It failed.

Does the GoDaddy web interface to send mails work flawlessly? As well in the web interface: does the affected mails show up there? What does the log in the web interface say?

I don’t use the web interface. Just the iPad mail app and Outlook on my PC. Never had a failed send on my PC.

The GoDaddy mail server might have a problem with your account configuration in Apple Mail - it might be helpful to check via the web interface what’s going on.
It just to trace where, if Mail transmit a messages to the GoDaddy SMTP for sending, the “loss” is happening - you could ssh into the GoDaddy SMTP, but the web interface is probably more convenient 😀… of course YMMV.

Nota bene: there might be some info in the analytics file on iPadOS - and while it’s quite tedious, I am not sure what’s logged there in relation to Mail.

How do I view the analytics?
