failed JB/Unlock on Quickpwn using 2.2.1 on iphone (mac)

alright so i already had my phone jailbroken and unlocked to tmobile but i wanted to upgrade to 2.2.1 and now i cant seem to jailbreak it. Quickpwn is stuck on the "quickpwn is about to run on your iphone" stage and it has been for a while. Please help! I need my phone back, I always seem to have problems jailbreaking and it's getting quite annoying I must admit. Please reply ASAP! thanks

Is it a 2G or 3G phone? If it's the 3G then it's not going to unlock on the stock 2.2.1 firmware.

Well, I'd try taking this tutorial from the top, including all the downloads, and see how you get on:

If you follow it exactly it ought to work.

the only problem is it never reaches step 13 and stays at " quickpwn is about to run on your iphone" i do not what is wrong this is like the 4th failed attempt.
it never says "sending" or anything ugh

OK, I had the same problem, it did not unlock the first time I tried. I found it was because the phone was already activated.

What I had to do was DFU it back to an unactivated state on 2.2.1. Then I ran QuickPwn again and it unlocked it as well as jailbroke it.

However, I use Windows. I think on a Mac you need to use pwnage tool, as in this tutorial:

i used quickpwn program to jailbreak and unlock my phone but the phone only is jailbroken but not unlocked. i am trying to use another sim card other than at&t.
so my phone currently is jailbroken but not unlocked. how can i get it unlocked?

I'm confused by where exactly you have got to. Do you really need to be running three pretty much identical threads here on the same question?
