My iphone 7 plus that i only got in september fell while i had m earphones in and so i noticed that my headphones still worked when in another phone and my laptop but when plugged into my phone after the fall, the music would play aloud as if nothing was plugged into the phone. i didn't think about it until i got home and tried to charge my phone but it wouldnt charge. I used a different wire, different outlet, even tried charging it from my laptop and nothing. i turned my phone off and plugged it in and it came on as if the charger was being detected like normal but when the phone turned on, it wasn't charging at all. the hole is free of debris and there's no visible sign of corrosion or any misshapen places. i think i have a warranty still but before i do that, is there anything i can do?

There is little you can do with hardware fault such as a charging port. I’d go direct to Apple and ask they look at it.

Actually, there's a lot you can do to repair a phone including replacing subcomponents (charge ports, cameras, etc) and board level rework (micro-soldering). However, I have to agree with @jr866gooner, if this phone is under warranty, I would just bring it to Apple for a replacement. However, they will not recover your data so if that is an issue, you may need to bring it to an independent repair shop.

Besides the phone, is your keyboard broken too? Please make your posts a bit more readable, like this:

Euhm, not everyone can just easily repair phones. I can, apparently you can, but the regular Apple iPhone customer can't. Don't even get me started on board level rework. Those are ridiculous solutions for 'normal' customers.

But to answer the initial question: go to Apple. If it costs you money to get the phone fixed, contact your insurance. If you still have to pay it for yourself, don't be surprised. You are the one who dropped and thus damaged the phone.

I agree about who can or can't repair phones. Re-reading my post, it may come across as me suggesting board level work but that's not what I meant. My suggestion was that those are things that can be done (by professionals)...that doesn't mean I expect an individual to do them personally.

As for general DIY repair, the OP asked what they could do. All I can do is suggest options; OP's have to determine themselves what they are comfortable with based on their skills and tools.
