Hi everyone,

I just want to check if anyone is experiencing the same problem. Since todays update my tMBP makes this very faint sound that HDs make when loading data. The tMBP has no moving parts other than the vents, and I've never heard this sound with Sierra 10.12.3

Should I worry?

Cheers.

It's perhaps the SSD; even though they don't have any moving parts, they tend to make strange 'electronic' sounds when under load. People have had the same with their iPhones when running Geekbench. It's possibly because the system is indexing following the OS update.

Basically I wouldn't worry, just give it a few days and see if it's still doing the same thing. Even if it is, I wouldn't say it's a cause for concern. :)
