I don't know how many Fallout fans there are on these forums, but over the past week lots of buzz has been building for Fallout 4, most notably due to this site: www.thesurvivor2299.com

As you can see, there's a countdown to December 11, 2013 at 3 PM EST. It's likely to be teaser of some sort. And the morse code? Well up until recently, it said 11/12/13, which is the non-American date of December 11, 2013. This seems like a Bethesda (the game devs) thing to do since they like nice dates like that. The morse code recently changed to say: "Calling any station, calling any station, calling any station, from Oscar Zulu, please stand by."

I should also note that there was also a Tumblr and Twitter account claiming to be related, but later it was revealed to be fake. However, there's still hope for the site.

Check out the thread on reddit where lots of this comes from: http://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/1qzd9m/the_survivor_2299_speculation_and_hype_megathread/

Good to know! Assuming it will be XBone, the only question is when. Fallout 3, for me, was one of the defining games of this console's generation. That and Oblivion.

I agree. FO3 and FO:NV were memorable experiences. Too bad I played the latter on a PS3 and was never able to complete it.

Hopefully it's next-gen. only; otherwise it'll be held back by last-gen. hardware.

Believe it or not, I didn't get into NV like I thought I would. It's the same reason why I thought Oblivion was better than Skyrim and AC 2 was better than 3. At some point, the worlds become TOO expansive for me, and as a completionist, I get overwhelmed. Fallout 3 was the perfect blend of size and things to do without becoming microtransactional like AC3 was, in which I found myself hunting rabbits for hours on end for no particular reason.

But there is no way Fallout 4 wouldn't be next-gen. The game is too massive to be played on xbox 360 with its hardware limitations and I doubt they would code for ps3 only to port upwards. No, IMO all AAA titles from here on out will be next gen, which is why I believe GTA V was pushed to be released this fall.
