Hi everyone,

I have a free One-year subscription to MobileMe as my exboyfriend worked at the apple store and received a free family pack when he commenced work. He is the master account holder and I have a sub account. Now that we've broken up he has turned out to be a bit crazy and my concern is that he will either have access to my account or delete it altogether. So my questions are:

1. Does he have access to my MobileMe account?
2. Does he have the power to delete my MobileMe account and if he does, will I at least get a warning before it happens?

Any advice would be appreciated!

He can access your accunt and cancel it without warning. This is also why one would want to refrain from buying into some "family pack" MM plan they sell on ebay for next to nothing.

Move your saved mail, if applicable. Get a new email account not tied to anyone, and tell your friends and family of the change.

I can't say for a fact but I would assume he could immediately wipe out your account and the only warning involved will be when MM ask him "Are You Sure".

Wait for someone to answer that knows for sure but I doubt your subaccount is safe at the moment.

Unequivocally yes! He can wipe it out or change the password and access anything saved it it. I strongly recommend that you get everything out of there sooner, rather than later.

OP, here is what you should do and fast:

1. Go to eBay.

2. Look for MobileMe for $60 or less. Make sure it says something like individual pack 20GB storage. Avoid single accounts, sub-accounts, family packs, 5GB storage.

3. Once purchased and the code received via email (instant) and/or post (3-5 days), go to step 4.

4. Go to http://www.me.com/activate and select second option (Apply to an existing account).

5. Follow instructions.

Good luck!

Was just thinking to myself, why has nobody else said the most dangerous part of this?

Theoretically he could be tracking you. Turn that setting OFF in your MobileMe account settings on your iPhone & iPad.
