Since the iOS 14 upgrade, I have had the Adults in my family share requiring to get approval from me (account holder of family share) before they can make a purchase. The screen pops up with a 6 digit code that I have to give to them. How can I turn this off? I don't have any children on my family share and I don't have Screen Time or Ask To Pay turning on either under family share.

TIA

This is happening to me as well and for every purchase. Hopefully next update fixes this?

I have an Apple TV account on my family plan that I buy all my movies/shows on and use it for my Apple TV device. Every time we purchase something now, I have to type in a code - same for my family members on my account for anything they do (iOS in app transactions, purchasing app store apps, and movies on their own iCloud accounts). Before it would just charge my CC.

It is very buggy too. My family members will get this (below) and no switching of phone position will correct this. They have to connect a Bluetooth keyboard to the phone to enter the code.......

Hopefully they fix this soon.

We are all adults too - setting as guardian had no effect - My mother in law, my wife, myself and my Apple TV account.

I have Family Purchase Sharing disabed... but my wife can not make purchases. It wants to force her to use my Apple Card, and sends me a six digit code. She doesn’t get provided with any way to input that code.

I don't really want to have to give her a code. We just want her to be able to use her card associated with her iTunes account like normal...or a card from her wallet would be fine.

I HATE that anyone in my family plan has to get a code from me.

We have an iCloud account for all our Apple TV purchases for the downstairs TV. It is getting old putting a code into that all the time. Same for when wife or mother in law - whenever they make purchases - they have to ask me for a code. While I appreciate the option for control, I'd like to turn it off.

I'm guessing this is done on purpose to discourage "families" that aren't in same house.

Yeah, I don't even want to "use" the wife's purchases, I only want to share the Apple Music, Apple TV and iCloud storage. I certainly don't understand why she can't just use her card for her own purchases.
