Hi,

I have an Apple ID with my Dad's e-mail address. This is used by my Dad, Mum and myself. We have used this for many years but I would like to try and separate the IDs.

I'm thinking of using the Family Sharing feature. I'm the only one that uses iCloud for photos and I want to make sure if I make my Dad is the organiser (as its his e-mail address), once I log into a "new" ID and we "share" iCloud - will I still be able to access them on iCloud as its still the same phone (if that makes sense)? I guess my messages on iMessage will be OK as well as its my phone number being used and not my Dad's password?

Thanks for your help :)

as far as I know, if the Apple ID is used by your father, you can share Albums but the photos will stay on your father's account.
Family Sharing is to share Music, Photos and services (including most of the apps) bought by one family member.
