Family Sharing for Apple Music Only

Is it possible to set up family sharing just for Apple Music?

What happens if you do set up family sharing to all the apps that we currently have? For example; what happens to NYTimes IAP subscriptions? Or any other app with IAP? Or if an app is not family sharing enabled does that mean my wife would have to buy the apps all over again?

I have read that if you really just want the Family Plan for Apple Music, you can do that, without turning on Family Sharing in iOS. The downside to this is that all the music, playlists are shared.....not individual.

Yeah... To truly take advantage of the Family Plan under Apple Music is that there will be no shared AppleID anymore. Family users will have to use their own iCloud account in order set up their musical interest.

That's the only negative I have with Apple Music, because having a iTunes Match shared among devices using my shared AppleID is of no use.

But if you create playlists like Rob's-Rock or Susie's-Workout music then does it really matter? Because then at a glance you see exactly what playlist you want. Am I missing something?

You can do that... And it wouldn't really matter? But the point of a Family Plan is for each user to set up their musical interest.

To do a Family Plan for Apple Music and share an AppleID kind of defeats the purpose.
