hello,
I wanted calendar events to show up on my wife's calendar so I set up family sharing. My 3 kids iPads are in The family too. Family sharing shows that music and other stuff will be shared. I only want my Calendar shared. Will my music(some explicit) be available for my kids on their iPads if they are in the family sharing?
Thanks
Jon

Music you buy through iTunes will be available to them (but you can use parental controls to limit access to songs flagged as explicit I believe), but if you're using Apple Music, each library is individual

Yes, they will be able to see the music.
What you wanted, if you are looking to only share calendar, is to just share a calendar. Open the calendar app, click calendars at the bottom, select the i next to the calendar you want to share and invite who you like. They will see the updates going forward.

I have family share setup but its for Apple Music. Its required to use Family Sharing to get my 4 family members access to the family account.

Ok so if I don't have any bought music (all ripped from cds) and I'm using Apple Music I should be good to go then?

And I added certain calendar entries to "family" so my changes really will only be them seeing those calendar events? Correct?
