I can set it up but is only the organisers email used on ALL other family members iTunes and app store?

No, each person should use it's own iCloud account.
It's still very buggy, my account (organiser) works perfectly fine. My wife's account is attached to mine through family sharing but Music barely works with hers, I have to reboot her mac each hour and logout and relog into iTunes 3-4 times before it works.

When I use my wife's iCloud details for iTunes & the app store, it doesn't allow her to see the apps i purchased?

On her device and my device for iTunes and App store I have always used my email address and password, despite having family sharing set up?

Same problem.
Wife is the only one on my family account....I signed up for family sharing....but it still keeps asking her to sign up for a free trial...

Same here.... came here to see if it was just me, clearly not.

I signed up for Music Trial with Family option ... but when my wife or daughter try to use music it asks them to sign up to the trial.

Works fine for me as the organiser ... wondering if I need to remove them and add them back to family sharing.?

I just noticed a "Already a member?" link in iTunes underneath the sign up buttons .... clicking on it does nothing.

It does seem quite a mess, interface is very clunky.

That works for a while, strangely enough I now got it to work on my wife's iPhone (after reinstalling it twice) and it worked on her Mac earlier today, but now it's back at the subscription question again ...

This thread has me a little leery of doing this but here is what I am thinking. My Son and I want to split the cost of Apple music so I will sign up for a family plan and share with him.

However I have not used Family sharing before and not sure how it works, can we only use it for Apple Music or will he also share all of my apps and such?

Unfortunately its for all things shared. I too wish they would have a separate family setup that was just for music.

Thanks for that, so how does that work, will he still be able to buy apps using his own iTunes account? Also as far as using the family plan for apple music will we be "sharing" the likes, dislikes and the "for You" tab?

so ... it took 2 hours and I was told I have to sign up for a Family trial on all the accounts that want to share ... gulp! hope I don't get charged 3 times!

Chatted with support yesterday and they told me it was a feature that didn't apply to to the trail but would when the trail ended.

Lol Apple support is even confused.

Strange, on the iMac at home it works flawless now, without her signing up for a separate Family trial.

Really? Now that makes no sense. in 90 days its gonna magically work..... haha

Ha ha ... yeah ... my thought too ... but it seems a lot of people are being this issue, but not all.

I have evolved the card, turned off auto renew and kept the chat transcript so when it all goes the way of the pear in 3 months.... i have proof that I was advised to do this and was told I would not be charged 3 times per month!!!

Quick Q: I haven't created a family sharing plan yet in iCloud. I guess I have to do that first before signing up in iTunes (Mac)? Then to protect my library DO NOT enable iCloud Music? Then add my wife's ID and have her accept?

oh wow, now my wife can't open shared applications on her iPhone anymore. It gives the error that the apps are no longer shared. :/

I think the trial is supposed to include the Family plan, why wouldn't it?

It has been spotty with my family's iPhones, mine works perfectly but theirs is on and off. It worked last night, then on one of the family phones it gave the 'Join Apple Music' screen again.

I'd sign them up for individual trials, but then I'd have to enter billing info for each family member's account.
