family sharing

Quick question.

I have two apples id's- one on my iMac at home and one on my MacBook which I use solely for work.

I bought an app for work on my work apple id. I want to use this at home on my iMac too.
Now I understand I could just switch between id's and have access to it.

However could i use family sharing and share the app to my iMac that way? i.e. still be on my home id and have access to it this way?

Yes, I do this regularly. The key is, the same Credit Card must be on file in the profiles of both iCloud accounts.
