I have to do a project for spanish class in school.. i am required to make a family tree, and make it look pretty decent.. I would print it on legal paper. What is good family tree making software that would either let me put the relation in spanish, ex hermano, or just export to a jpeg so i could add that in using photoshop.

OmniGraffle maybe?

Another vote for Reunion as the best genealogy software out there. But I also think it might be overkill. How many generations are you planning on adding to the tree?

Maybe you're better off with one of the free alternatives from VersionTracker. I think the beta of MacFamilyTree might be your best choice.

yeah i will not have many generations, maybe three... im going to cvheck the second one out..

is there anything that is free?? the software above will not let me print or save

If you're just making the chart for a couple of generations you don't really need any of the above mentioned genealogy software. You should manage well with something like OmniGraffle (comes free with the PowerBooks (and PowerMacs?)) or InDesign.

I'm currently making an A0 family tree, with all descendants and ancestors of my grandmother and grandfather (for my ant) in InDesign (based on the Reunion base we have), complete the 5 generations above my aunt/mother and with an additional 12-15 generations backwards (on some selective lines). It's a bit rough at the moment, and in Norwegian, but you get the general idea (I've removed all info on those still living):

thats pretty cool.. i guess i could probably do it in photoshop because its not really the family tree aspect that im loking for, its making it look good.. i will only have like 15 people in it and i want to include pictures and stuff like that to make it look good..
