I've been scouring the internet for either information on this or just finding the utility myself, but I've come up with nothing.
I have a 21' desktop iMac running Snow Leopard. A few weeks ago the fan started running really fast (loud) whenever the computer was on. I did a little research and figured the internal thermometer was out or something, but the computer was still working fine.
But today it's been running completely silently. I never noticed the fan in particular before so I don't know if maybe I'm just not used to it acting normal, but just to be safe I want to check to see if it's working or if it finally broke down. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find something that simply tells me whether the fan is running or not, or something so I can manually turn it on and see if it works.
Can anyone please help?
Thanks, Nate
