Fan on more frequently with El Capitan?

Seconding the bet that Spotlight went berserk indexing. That always happens with every Mac OS install.
I've had el capitan installed for a couple days now and the fans are still running constantly when very little if any processes are running that could impact it..
opening up spotlight doesn't show that it is indexing still.
any way to figure this out, since all it is going to do is run down the battery faster. Seems to also be running hotter than before with latest yosemite - which was working sO well.

thanks, I checked for processes, but nothing showed that it was using too much cpu.. there was some mdworker processes, but they stopped after about 10 minutes..
didn't seem as if spotlight was indexing.
did an SMC reset, now down to a more normal temp and FAN (120-175F) and fans not going crazy
Hi, I also have a 2011 Macbook Pro 8 GB Ram i7 as well and have been having the same issue with the fans acting up with the El Capitan update. I just went through a clean install to see if that would solve it and it's better but not solved yet.
