Fan quieter at idle speed

My new i5 13" has a quieter fan than the 2010 model at idle speed of around 2000rpm.The 2010 made a slight buzzing/whirring sound when you put your ear upto the keyboard

Agreed, it also takes a lot longer for the fan to kick in!
