Just realised that my mac pro 1,1's front 2 fans are not working. Was using smcfancontrol and checking the readings only to find that the cpu fan and expansion slot fans are at 0rpm. Other fans working as usual. Temps inside seem to be fine with only the northbridge reaching 64deg celsius. Others vary from 37-47degs. Should I take it in for repair or be better off sourcing a replacement?

Go get a new fan from ebay. I've just checked that there are a couple of sources to provide Mac Pro internal fans from United Kingdom. They are cheap. Do it yourself. No need to pay for repair.:apple:

Before doing that. Go get Apple Service Diagnostic CD from http://www.demonoid.me/files/details/2667365/2447570/

Check it out that which parts of your Mac is/are actually malfunction. For ensuring the fault before procurement. So do not waste money:apple:
