iMac Pro Fan speeds for iMac Pro

Subject: Fan speeds for iMac Pro

Looking at the tear-down images of the iMac Pro the RAM is on one side, the GPU is on the opposite side, the Processor, 2x SSD modules are on the center line and all the ports are on one side low down. I'm not sure where the PSU is. The heat imbalance as the Mac is being used will demand different cooling for left and right IMO.

The iMac Pro has two large fans; one on the right and the other on the left.

For people who have their iMac Pros can you observe the two fan speeds (RPM) using 3rd party applications such as iStat while the Mac is idle and then when slowly having the workload increased.

I'm interested in knowing how each fan RPM varies from left to right.

On my 15" rMBP13,3 which has two fans the difference between their RPM at idle is around 170 and when the MBP is fully loaded with work the difference opens up to around 450.

BTW... It's a good practice/prudent to always check for proper fan operations as a few years back I had an experience (not an Apple Mac) where the computer was supposed to have two fans and when I investigated fan speeds it was very obvious only one fan had been installed. :eek::oops:
 
Has anyone have the iStat application to check the fan speeds (RPM) for the iMac Pro ? Thanks... :)
