Hello,

I am not sur if this is normal. But whenever I stream the fan starts working and when I check the CPU consumption I realize it is above 50%.

It does the same thing with Skype.

Should I be worried the fan is turned on a lot now? Is there anything I can do to keep the computer running smoother?

Thanks and appreciate it.

That's normal, as flash video (streaming) and skype both use a considerable amount of CPU, so it will heat up a bit and cause the fans to come on.

Currently I only have 4 tabs of Chrome, none of which is video and the fan is on and the temp is 42. Is that normal?!

One of the things that I loved about the Macbook is that you rarely hear the fan go on, and with this one, it is on almost anytime I use it...

Use Activity Monitor to see what is using up the CPU. That's what is causing the fan to run all the time. Skype is a know CPU hog but you could have some background process doing it.

I'm an idiot, I can't believe I didn't think of checking Activity Log.

Apparently something called "Adobe-something-synchronizer" has been eating up all the CPU.

I do have a few basic adobe programs (like reader etc..) but I have no idea what that is!

Refer to the thread that I linked below to stop Adobe Resource Synchronizer from using up all of your battery.

Hope this helps!
