It’s gone from “changing a correct word into gibberish” to “changing whole phrases that are correct into phrases that are wrong.”

Seriously, can’t we just have the iOS 4-9 autocorrect back? I could literally type without looking because it was so good.

What a crock. All that revolutionary compute power and it’s worse than my 2nd gen iPod Touch.

Absolute garbage isn’t it? And the random capitalisations of words that would never ever be capitalised unless at the beginning of a sentence.

Add to the increasing list of things that just do not work correctly. Truly unacceptable!

More and more I’m convinced that Apple devs don’t use their own stuff.

“Autocorrect” missed three very easy mistakes in that above sentence alone and I had to fix them myself.

One of my biggest irritations is the fact it can’t seem to recognize a missing space. I can somehow miss a space and type two perfectly spelled words together without a space, and yet iOS can’t figure this out and just add the space. It’ll red underline and say “no suggestions.”

Can't agree with you more, sadly!
I'm waiting to update to iOS 17 hoping they will fix several issues
but it seems this one about correction is working already like that even in iOS 16
I guess it's not embedded in whatever iOS you have but it comes straight from the Apple Mother Ship

I find editing what I type has become more difficult. It’s harder to select the words I want or highlight a word or precisely place the cursor. It seems finicky and jumps around with the new iOS.

Sigh… exact same gibberish garbage as the last “autocorrect.”
