I just rebuilt an out of warranty PowerBook G4 1.25 GHz for work. (I really don't get paid enough to do this kind of stuff...)
I've reinstalled OS X and I wanted to see how it was holding up inside. It idles at a nice 112° F but the fans aren't reporting anything. I've never run iStat Pro on a PowerPC laptop so I don't know what is supposed to be reporting.
I'm running 'yes > /dev/null' right now to see how it handles 100% load and the fans still haven't spun up. (139/140° right now.)
Or was the PowerBook G4 seriously that cool?
Edit: The Rear Exhaust fan kicked in at 142° F at 1400 RPM and now hitting 1700 RPM.
