Fans Running Constantly While Using Safari or iTunes - Coreduetd is the culprit

My mid-2011 MacBook Pro is running 10.10.3. I'm having a problem with the computer heating up and the fans running constantly, even though I'm doing simple tasks such as Safari or iTunes.

I have attached a screenshot below of the CPU usage.

What I have done so far is reset the SMC. That didn't resolve the issue. I know coreduetd is the culprit, but I can't quit it. Since it's part of the root, I'm pretty sure that's why I can't quit it. But I'm not the sharpest tool in the box when it comes to advanced Mac stuff, so I may be wrong.

Quick summary in case the link goes away: go to /var/db/CoreDuet, delete the files in there, then reboot.

Thank you! So far it's working. I do have a Genius Bar appointment on hand just in case. This has been happening for a little while and it has been driving me crazy!
