Does anyone know when the ESPN Fantasy Football 2010 App will be released for iPhone (or Ipad) and same thing for NFL.COM ? Does anyone even know if NFL.COM has an iPhone app for their fantasy league?

Thank you!

NFL.com did not have a fantasy league last year as far as I know. The ESPN Fantasy app should be out soon...

Fantasy Football Cheatsheet '10 is highly recommended from app advice. Does anyone know if this is just draft info or is it updated throughout the season (i.e.waiver wire tips)? Thanks

ESPN is having a fantasy football special tonight at 7 pm, so that might be a good time to look for the app. I'm waiting for it too.

anyone use "Fantasy Monster"? I saw it received some good reviews. It will do Yahoo, ESPN in 1 app. The pro edition does football, baseball, basketball.

I hope ESPN really knocks it out of the park this year. I used the 2009 app and while it worked, it was still not a good replacement for the actual website.

However after seeing some video from ESPN showing now much they use the ipad in house for production work, I could see them really making an extra effort this season to set the bar for fantasy management apps.

They just make so much sense. To be able to put in that waiver pick or last minute substitution while your out and about or at the bar with your buddies is crucial.

I really hope the make a low priced universal binary.

And give us an awesome draft app for iPad. I would love to have my research and cheat sheets on my dual displays while I make my picks on my iPad.

You should see the war room of laptops, desktops and piles of paper at my house when we do our draft. It's still an online draft, but everyone comes over.

There is rotowire news on it, but I honestly can't remember if it was updated through the season or not. Regardless, there's free apps that can give you that if you need it. FF Cheatsheet is really just for your draft and draft prep. I used it last year and won't draft without it again. It's really fantastic for keeping track of players, quickly filtering positions and ranking lists (by adp, aav, your own custom, etc) to see who is available. Easily worth the 2.99 in my opinion, but again it's not really something you're going to be using during the actual season.

How can you keep track of drafted players? is there a check mark mark that removes them from the rankings? Also, does this app rank players according to your custom league settings?

Thanks.

yes, you can search by name and just check the person off once they are drafted. you can sort by adp, aav, or set up your own rankings. I don't put a lot of stock into projections most of the time, but the app does allow you to put in your league's custom scoring..so that can be helpful if you are into that.

Hmm thanks! sounds like it would be very helpful in keeping track during a draft.

like I said, I won't draft without it after using it last year. Much faster and easier to access needed info than dealing with stacks of paper and/or a laptop.

NFL.COM doesn't have a fantasy league this year, all of there leagues went to CBS Sportsline and they do have a Fantasy App.

Other Leagues

If you use Yahoo! they have a free app. While not robust it got the job done.

I also use CBS Sports, but their app really isn't that good. Looked into making an app for CBS Sports, but they will not allow it.

Yahoo allows you to build apps using their newly released API, but sadly will not allow you to charge for it. Can't even use ads :(, so not a lot of incentive to create one there.

Fantasy Monster will do both Yahoo and ESPN fantasy leagues. Better than the official ESPN and Yahoo apps imo

Looks cool... do you still have access to all of the info if you don't have a wifi connection? Not sure if I'll have wifi at the place we are drafting.

Thanks,

Hey everybody

Hey guys,

HuddleHub.com has its ESPN / Yahoo! Fantasy Football management (and live scores) application in the Apple App Store review process. We are hoping it gets launched this upcoming Monday (8/30).

Check us out at www.huddlehub.com.

I certainly look forward to checking your app out.

Is this a replacement for the ESPN app or is it an alternative?

I'm using Fantasy Football Monster to manage all my ESPN and yahoo teams and it works great. You can even drag and drop to edit your roster which is pretty slick.

You can see a video of it on their website. Just google 'Fantasy Monster' I don't know the URL offhand.
