So we’re about to take the plunge with Apple Watch, coming from Fitbits which even when old give a sold 2-3 days of charge.

it’s frustrating looking at all the various charger stands available, and how few multiple device chargers (primarily Belkin) fast charge Apple Watch.

so my question is.. do people find fast charging worth it? I still haven’t worked out exactly how/when I’m going to be charging (probably multiple times a day), and I do plan on wearing the Watch to bed.

the charger I absolutely adore is the Nomad Base Max, which has amazing build quality, but inexplicably does not have Watch fast charging.

You said you plan on wearing the watch to bed, I think fast charging will be really nice to have.

seems like only Belkin has updated their chargers with fast charging (just 2 of them, and you also have to make sure it's the right model number as they look identical to the older non-fast-charging models).

Belkin’s model numbering definitely is infuriating.

I do wish Apple had created a new word instead of just saying “fast charging.” Very difficult to search for on Amazon. All manufacturers say their charging is “fast.”

The puck out of the box is amazing; charged mine from 45% to 100% in half hour last night. Didn't realise they charged that fast. Plugged it into my macbook pro brick, don't know if that made a difference..

In comparison i've been using my old charger at work and it seemed to take ages. Was a little disappointed tbh.

that’s good info. I’m hoping that the Belkin fast watch chargers are as good as the Apple puck in this regard.

Get the fast charger so you can charge up before bed. The only drawback is theoretically the extra heat from fast charging may age your battery slightly faster vs conventional charging. Not enough for me not to use it but just a thought.

Yeah, I’m not overly concerned with that. I find for whatever reason that I tend to upgrade my Apple products every 2-3 years.

Fast charging for the Watch is/was a game-changer for me. After using the Apple puck for a while I got the Belkin charger (the one just for the Watch) and it charges just as fast (and is a way more elegant solution obviously).

Can you post a link to the belkin charger?
