Fast charging?

How long does it normally take to fully charge a Ipad Pro from 0% ?
I am going to buy the 10,5 and im curious.

And are there ways to let it charge faster?
I heard I need to get USB-C stuff but what do I need and whats the difference? And will it damage the Ipad?

Faster charging needs a power adapter that can deliver voltage above the 5v of the standard charger.

Rather than develop a new charger, the macbook and MacBook Pro chargers are used as they’re already designed for higher voltages.

So you need the power adapter and then a USB-C to lightning cable.

It won’t damage your iPad as it’s been designed to work with the faster charging solution.

(I’ve bought a 10.5 iPad but I’ve a 12” MacBook so I’m familiar with the USB-C stuff)

I have a 2015 mbp. I dont think it has usbc. Can I use its power plug to charge the 12.9" ipp 2 I am ordering?

It's fully supported, I wouldn't worry at all.

So lightning to USBC to brick is the solution. You are the best!

Lol umm thanks, but I'm just relaying info from other members. @masotime spent a lot of time researching and explaining this in the other thread.

If your MacBook Pro is from 2015 that’ll use Standard USB so you’ll need the one that is linked to in the post above.

In terms of secondary market devices, look at brands like Anker.

I’ve a charger with 4 standard USB ports and 1 USB C ports. I’m expecting that to work. (I just need the usb-c lightning cable.
