Eh, they also previously reported that Lion and Airs would be here today. I'll believe it when I see it.

In a coffee shop.
It'll happen when it does. Until then, let's enjoy the anticipation.....

I, for one, am looking forward to seeing what will be unveiled by the Maestro in the black turtleneck; I remember when the very first MBA was eased out from an A4 envelope, and we all.........sighed. Happily. Longingly.

They are now saying "end of next week".

Of course, some of them are saying that the MBA's are all sitting at Apple Stores in the "do not open" boxes.

I'm happy about the hard-drive upgrade (even with an external drive, I'd fill 64 GB up pretty quickly), but I wish there was some mention of 4 GB being the new RAM standard.

if they do add backlit keyboards, i'll have to think a little harder about going 13" pro or air when i upgrade. i know it seems like such a little thing, but it's on my list of deal breakers. another deal breaker for the current air is the lack of an ethernet port, but hopefully there will be thunderbolt>ethernet adapters available before my next laptop purchase.

but the pro still draws me in being for the simple fact you can install a second HD/SSD. even with a 256 blade, the air is a little gimped in the storage department vs. the pro.

U actually believe those journalists who have no inside information about apple what so ever?

Seriously, people just believe what they want to believe these days.

I expect 4GB Ram standard on 13 inch laptops, but 11 inch? Blah...

I would not be so sure about 128GB SSD as standard on 11 inch. Also, the backlit Keyboard is really doubtful. I will believe it when I see it.

Apple is probably going to take like three big steps forward like they did with MBP line.

1. Thunderbolt Port
2. Faster CPU
3. More Ram and More Storage

If you are asking for more, then you are crazy. U think apple will never release another MBA after this?

Assuming the SSD capacity increase rumour is true, does this mean the 11" will have a 256GB option?

The reports are ambiguous on this point, but don't rule it out either.

If 128GB is the standard capacity for the 11", surely there'll be an optional upgrade from it?

256GB instead of 128GB in the 11" would make a world of difference with a 130GB iTunes library...

So, why is apple even bothering with 13 inch MB and 13 inch MBP?

If air gets all of these, then those other 2 laptops should just go into the trash.
