Faulty iPhone 3G off eBay...what do i do?

The iPhone i bought off eBay isnt great.

What are my options seems as i want the one who purchased it?

Please tell me i can take it to my Apple Store for exchange of a new one!!

What's wrong with it? You could try the Apple Store, I doubt they will ask you for proof of purchase. If not, report it to eBay.

Lol ive had it for an hour and its been slow and crashed...or is this just 'welcome to 2.0"? LOL

Hmm, try restoring it to the latest build of the 2.0 firmware - 5A347. Lots of people are reporting that 2.0 is a bit slow and buggy so it might just be the firmware right now. I take it, it is in mint condition?

damn, can i ask how much you purchased it for?

To my understanding, there is no warranty on the phone since you bought it second hand... i hope that you don't do this again.

Yeah. Mint condition. Paid £400 for it.

I just spoke with Apple and i can make an appointment with them to have a look. They said it is there product so they will repair/ replace and as its a gift they need to make sure that its not been tampered with or unlocked...which is hasnt as im running it on 02!

I hope they will exchange it for a new one.
