Faulty Samsung 1.8"s

All i want to do, is spread the word on this..

If you, or someone you know has their MacBook Air, or HP Mini 10XX go "click click click beeeeeeeeeeeeep" it IS the hard drive

Both have the same model Samsung mechanical HDD that does this:

Not that i can help it anyhow.....

I just wanted to warn everybody to make frequent backups, and perhaps motivate people to upgrade to something else, like an SSD...

Because Samsung = Trouble at this point..

Never had that on my old Rev A HDD models ever... I never heard about it until this post, so it's not that widespread either.

It's cool that you don't have anything wrong.

It was a shock to me at first, but it's now my third time hearing this, so i went back to looking for a solution and the number of cases of this happening seems to have ballooned. But it seems like mostly an MBA issue, as i guess some HP Mini owners simply ignore it thinking it's a system speaker going off.

Point is, same drive hardware, same issue.
