Hello,
I'm new to the forums and just recently bought a faulty apple laptop at a carboot sale (what a bargain!). The problem is it all boots up fine but the trackpad doesn't seem to work. I have been using an external mouse and have been told tthat the logic board doesn't connect to the trackpad (though the owner was not sure). He recommened me to change the logic board but this will be very costly. Can anyone give me any ideas? Are trackpads avialbe on there own or would I have to buy a new logic board?
Thanks a lot

What kind of laptop is it?

IIRC, trackpads aren't that hard to replace. Just order a new one from PB fixit, and it's easy to get to.
