if i'm going to have an energy drink, most likely Amp from Mountain Dew, or my favorite Starbucks drink. :p

I used to go for Red Bulls, but since finding Thunder I can now buy 4 of them for 1 Red Bull.

I'd say Thunder for the price. They're 31p here.

I like Guru.

I only drink them when I have a big day ahead, like if I have to be the sound guy at some kind of show, and I'm working/lifting/standing all day.

I really don't drink them anymore. A can of Dr. Pepper is enjoyable, but I drink it more for the taste than anything else.

But, I do have a special place in my heart for Rockstar. I had one I think just after it came out. It would have been April or May 2002. I remember because I was driving with a couple of friends ot another friend's wedding after a full day of work and whatnot. I didn't get any sleep since I ran shotgun the first 2/3 of the drive and took the last, lonely, drive shift (12am - 6am) - I had the Rockstar at 11pm. When we got there, I remember being the only one still functioning. It was a great trip...

With sugar, natch... my summer replacement for coffee pick-me-up while walking from the station to the office in the morning. By the time I'm there, I'm ready to kick design arse.

I'm glad someone else thought to say this. Coffee has (depending on the roast, the type of bean, and how strong you like your coffee) numerous times the amount of caffeine found in (most) energy drinks. The clear winner every time :)

It's not just caffeine though. Some contain Guarana, Taurine, specialised sugars, isotonic stuff...

Re: Dr. Pepper. There's something in that that really gives me a kick. Sometimes comparable to a proper energy drink. Must be sensitive to something in there :p

Caffeine-free Mountain Dew? Surely people don't drink Mountain Dew for the taste!

We're going out to UT in a couple of weeks. I'll try to head down to Provo and pick up a can. I'll do a comparison and let you know how it turns out. Also, if you want to try it, I can get you a pack...:D

Ha! So do they only sell it in Utah? If so, I'll be there again in a couple of months, I'm sure, so I'll have to look around for some.

That's the only place I've seen it. But, more specificially, on the BYU campus in Provo is the only place I've seen it.

In the meantime, if you're looking for suggestions on places to eat while you're in UT, let me know.:D

Absolut Bull used to give you a buzz that a Duracell'd vibrator couldn't match.
