I have been looking at bodyguardz and icarbons is there any other companies that make a good quality one? Is there even a difference from the 30$ ones and the eBay 7$ ones?

I haven't used most of these before, but since I was looking into the same stuff I figured I'd share. Here are some sites in addition to what you already mentioned.
Lucky Skins - Carbon Fiber, and Wood. Have a nice two tone option.
Ghost Armor - Carbon Fiber
PhantomSkinz - Carbon Fiber, "metallic", and wood
Sticker Boy - Carbon, Wood, Leather, and Solid matte colors.
Some people have stated there is a difference, but my understanding is that most if not all these sites use the same or similar 3M stuff.

I've tried both Bodyguardz and Sticker Boy. The Sticker Boy one was the faux leather but same vinyl as the carbon fiber. The edges would not stay down no matter what I did. I tried the hair dryer but as soon as it cooled the edges would lift again. Their customer service was even worse than their product. I explained my problem to them and only asked to send the unused skin back for a refund. Their remedy was that I would have to suck up the shipping both ways plus a 25% restocking fee. I'd rather give it away than have them make 25% more off me. So PM me if you're interested in white Sticker Boy faux leather extreme fit and matching Smart Cover skins.
The Bodyguardz skin was my first skin in the white carbon fiber and it was perfectly fine but once I saw the faux leather from Sticker Boy, I had to have it. My iPad is now back in a Bodyguardz white carbon fiber and looking fine again.
