One of my least favorite things is how the Music app (ie iTunes) has now been taken over to be the Apple Music streaming service. One of the most aggravating parts is that Apple draws no distinction between Apple Music, the service, and Music, the app I use on my Mac and in iOS to listen to my own music.

With all that said, I just updated to Sonoma, and the big Apple Music feature, aside from messing up the "Recently Added" list, is that it has Favorites.

Does that exist if you don't subscribe to Apple Music, or is that an Apple Music subscription feature?

I'm guessing it only applies to Apple Music subscribers. I don't use Apple Music. I prefer my own library.

I could guess too, but I'm hoping someone knows—I still can't tell.
