What's your favourite in terms of audio quality, build and portability?

Ditto, I have some low end Grados which sound great though sometimes uncomfortable and some B&O form 2's which are always comfortable but don't necessarily sound great

I know that the models offered by Audio Technica and Grados score highly with music lovers who want a high quality sound from a well-designed set of headphones; these are choices I pretty well agree with; Sennheiser are also pretty good, and I have had them in the past.

However, for that combination of audio quality, build quality, portability, and sheer style, (the criteria set out by the OP in the original post), to my - perhaps prejudiced, and certainly jaundiced - mind on such matters, nothing touches the Bowers & Wilkins P5 headphones. They are superb, portable, very comfortable, look great and sound terrific. They are easily the best headphones I have ever had; I also have the B&W P3's - which are even more portable, very stylish, and offer exceptionally good sound as well.

Audio Technica ATH-M50s are my go-to headphone.

ATH for affordability.
Parrot Zik for noise cancellation (close to Bose, though).
Bowers & Wilkins for portability/fashion. (***** on Beats).

I was looking at those. I wonder if they will actually send better than the ones I posted. Monoprice isn't known for charging more for just better style or looks; but I think with the Beats-esque look here that might be the case.

I love my Sennheiser HD595's. Not high impedance enough to need an amp, but the sure sound good with (and without) one!
