So I spend at least half my day just browsing the internet for news, so I was wondering where most people here get their news.

ie. What is the first news site you go to when you fire up the computer in a morning?

If something other feel free to post.

I recently discovered Drudge report and am now completely hooked. It's open as one of my tabs for the entire day.

(PS. These are listed in order of popularity from the latest research on web traffic.)

I don't. I usually listen to BBC Radio 4 in the morning and that's enough worldly strife for me.

On the odd occasion that I do browse the news, it's usually the BBC, although I do look up Schnews and IndyMedia from time to time, for an alternative view of things.

It's got to be the BBC, then Mac Rumors. I also do the Radio 4 morning news show while I drive to work, i would do Radio 5 Live for the extra sport but can't stand Nicky Campbell...

I used to go to Reuters almost exclusively, except since the Democratic race has got tight, they've been offering glowing reports of Obama, and nearly all their "democratic nomination" photos feature him - not that I really care since I'm politically neutral, but it shows a certain media adoration or bias or whatever and I don't really trust them to offer neutral information.

I now use CNN, or as posted above, I'm just getting used to BBC as well.

BBC BBC BBC - "putting news first" (even though their site doesn't look so attractive), it is very informative and concise.

other than that, CNN. check my FF's RSS subscription. The 2 characters that's in Chinese is Engadget Chinese and Autoblog Chinese.

edit: for iPhone: cnnmobile.com if on gprs/edge (hehe, I got limited airtime), cnn/bbc on wifi.

Google news for me - so I get a choice of news sources. It's nice to be able to read 3 different versions of the same story if something really needs to be clarified. Besides, sometimes I just want 'Tokyo Police Club' news for example, or something else equally specific, and therefore I know there'll always be summat if i search.

It depends on what kind of news I want to read. For live stories: CNN. For journalism, and op-ed: NYT. When I've finished both of those: BBC.

EDIT: On the iPhone: MSNBC. (Great iPhone site, although the new NYT iPhone site has recently eclipsed it)
