is there a program where I can recieve and send faxes.

Theres a program that comes with OS X that has something with Fax in it..but I dont know how to use it...What does it do? i have no clue.

The software that comes with OS X is called FAXstf.

I have been using it for about a year now and it works great.

I can send and receive faxes. Setting it up is not that hard.

just follow the instructions.

let us know the outcome

Do you just leave ur computer on w/ it connected to a phone jack and then when a fax comes it'd recieve it?

sorry I was not specific, but iJon is right, launch faxbrowser and then go to the help menu.also, there is an update to this application.

the only bad thing is if you have only one line, you have to know when your fax is coming because you have to manually turn it on. I mean you can leave it on but it will pick up every phone call you get as a incoming fax.

but if you have a second phone line then this problem is solved. the imac will automatically wake up when it detects a phone ring.

cheers
