FCP LAGGING

Greetings!

Something happened to FCP (11.1.1) since I last opened it...it's nearly unusable, it's so slow.

I've deleted/reinstalled...tried creating a new project from scratch...restarted the computer...shut down other apps...nothing is working!

Can anyone help me troubleshoot?

Start with telling your system model, specs and set up… external drives, etc.

Thanks! So: M2 Mac Mini, 16GB RAM, OSX Sequoia 15.5...and I use a Sabre 1TB external SSD for editing. It has been plenty fast up till now...but...something just changed(!)

try running maintainance using e.g. Onyx and restart.
