How about this for weirdness...
Last week I bought a GTX 470 for my Mac Pro 3,1 running 10.8.2. with the latest nVidia drivers. Everything seemed stable until today.
Today, I was editing in Final Cut Pro X 10.0.4., I also had a Flash UStream video from twit.tv running in Safari. The result was a beachball that required a hard reset of the Mac Pro. Is this a truly an affect of the new GTX 470? I have no idea but I never noticed it to happen before.
It doesn't happen while watching Flash YouTube videos nor does this happen while watching the same Flash UStream twit.tv video in Firefox with FCP X is open.
I hope my explanation is clear. Really strange.
