FEAR was just released on steam, with both expansions, for $9.99. If you don't buy this, then you're high. I searched all over to buy these games separately and now it is 5 times cheaper then what I paid. It is a great game, definitely the scariest/creepiest I have played. Doom 3 doesn't compare. Just do yourselves a favor and get it.

Fear is definitely a great game, $10 is a steal as well.

I got all excited when you posted this, thinking it was mac compatible. Hopefully they'll add mac support soon.

I'm tempted by this... one thing though - the minimum specs thing says your display has to be 4:3. Does it support widescreen?

A friend of mine was really addicted to this back in the day. Heard nothing but good things! Just afraid it wont run so well on my PC.

it runs on 16:9 or 10. except perseus mandate i think. at least the retail copies do. I don't really know how steam packages this when it downloads, perseus mandate was a stand alone expansion. It is worth it, $10 is a ridiculous price.

I've checked out the Steam forums and yea, they say all the FEAR games run in widescreen - its just that for one of them you have to manually alter the config. Doom 3 is the same.
I'll buy it during my next Steam binge.

I am enjoying steam a lot. While I still prefer a boxed product wherever possible if there is only ever going to be an online download Steam is the way forward.

I'm curious to see if Dragon Age will be coming to Steam as the PC version is already there and it's already online distribution only for the Mac via Direct2Drive etc.
