I have been keeping all over this so I am guessing there is no info about this yet, but just in case...
The killers for me about the iPhone at this point are mostly things that can be updated via software (No voice dialing [I don't use it on my current phone... but c'mon apple- 6 touches from power off to call a known contact? Not very apple-y if you ask me], No video recording from the camera, No Flash support in Safari [or even Quicktime!]). I have already prepared myself for the lack of GPS, no 3G and a HD smaller than I would like.
What do people think are the current odds of getting these features in the iPhone 1G via a software update? I believe the hardware is fast enough for it. My guess is that they wanted to get the core functionality out and proven before they add all the bells and whistles.
Also, on a separate unrelated note- is there any word on accessibility? (Voice over/pinch to enlarge all screens?)
